And the second most important part of boat ownership is being able to insure your new purchase. As a SAMS® Surveyor Associate, with over 40 years in recreational boating and sailing, Carolyn is an excellent choice to do your marine survey. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Florida, she is experienced in marine asset valuations. And ss a USCG Master 50T Captain with Aux Sail endorsement, she has spent her time assisting with charters, repairs, deliveries, maintenance, and assessments of various types of vessels. Although, Carolyn’s passion and specialty is sailing and all things sailing, she is knowledgeable and able to assess the condition and value of other types of vessels as well.

Capt. Carolyn Ball, CPA is the owner and operator of Calypso Breeze Marine Surveying, Inc. With my 40+ years of experience in the marine industry, and 16+ years of experience as a CPA in the state of Florida, I have earned my American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) Standards Certification. ABYC sets the basic, minimal standards for basic safety of all systems of a vessel. I am also a Surveyor Associate through the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors® (SAMS®). SAMS® sets the minimal standards that provide oversight and professional standards for marine surveyors and for marine surveys. And, as a Certified Public Accountant (Florida), I am well versed in the processes to establish the value of businesses, intangible assets, and tangible assets, such as recreational boats.
